Our Team
Justin
Growing up in Hawai‘i, Justin developed a deep interest in local heritage, community identity, and economic sustainability. As a business college student, he has worked to make the foundations of business and entrepreneurship more accessible to African students, believing that economic knowledge can become a powerful tool for independence and opportunity.
Nathan
Nathan carries an international perspective shaped by both American and global experiences. After visiting Kenya and witnessing parts of the local coffee industry firsthand, he became deeply interested in the connection between nutrition, agriculture, and everyday well-being. Passionate about healthy living and food science, he explores how thoughtful cooking methods and proper eating habits can improve long-term health while remaining accessible to communities around the world.
Sungsoon
Living between the quiet shores of Jeju Island and vibrant urban cities, Sungsoon became interested in sustainability through observing environmental pollution in coastal communities. His work focuses on eco-friendly food systems, healthy lifestyles, and sustainable well-being, inspired by the belief that caring for both people and nature must go hand in hand.
Mina
Based in Beijing and frequently traveling between places such as Madagascar and Kenya, Mina has experienced the beauty and diversity of Africa firsthand. She is especially passionate about African children, visual arts, and the vivid colors that shape local cultures and daily life. Through art and storytelling, she hopes to celebrate creativity while building deeper cultural understanding.
Ianne
Traveling across the United States and Europe, Ianne brings a global perspective shaped by fashion, beauty, and contemporary culture. She sees makeup and style not simply as trends, but as forms of confidence, identity, and self-expression that connect people across different backgrounds and experiences.
Minjun
As a debater and communicator, Minjun is fascinated by persuasion, advertising, and human psychology. He studies how stories, language, and branding influence the way people think and connect with ideas. Through THRIVEX, he hopes to explore the power of communication in shaping culture and inspiring meaningful action.
